In his statement, the NOC’s Treasurer Unisa Deen Kargbo stated that they are always excited to see the growth of sports.

“This is a small NOC and we are still looking for our first gold medal, maybe silver or bronze medal so we are still looking for a medal and we think five years will be too long for us, possibly after Paris, the Los Angeles Games, we have to be on the podium, if not at the Olympics but at the Commonwealth Games or All African Games so the next five years Sierra Leone should be at the medal podium, that is why we are happy that we have a whole active development minded person like Anna in our Olympic Committee,” he said.

Kargbo underscored that the Gymnastic Federation won a silver medal in the 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games in Turkey, expressing their hope to see gymnastics give them more medals because they see the potential in them.

In her part, Eva Szloboda said that doing something as a pioneer of a country is much cost and that she is very proud of the entire NOC, but mostly Anna.

She highlighted that when they met for the first time in Cairo she told everyone including Anna about having aerobic gymnastic training and explained to them what it means to do so.

Szloboda disclosed that gymnastics is her profession and that she is a Women’s artistic coach, she is also a physiotherapist.
