Swimmer, Joshua Wyse failed to progress to the semi-finals of the 50m men’s freestyle but was able to lower his trimming from the Olympic Games in Japan.
Wyse took to the La Defense Arena on Thursday morning to only finish 7th from his 50m men’s freestyle Heat 3 as he touched the wall at 27.11 sec.
Despite not being able to progress, Wyse was able to lower his 27.90 sec he pulled off four years ago at the 2020 Tokyo 27.90 timing.
For the two-time Olympia, he was not pleased with his performance: “I was hoping to do more, I am dissatisfied with my performance.”
The Sierra Leone swimmer was however ranked 62 out of 73 participants above Fahim Anwari of Afghanistan and Phillip Kinono of Marshall Islands.
